Boutique pet essentials, hand-finished for the family at home.
We are a small studio of pet parents, designers, and material nerds making the carriers, beds, and travel gear we always wished existed — quiet in color, generous in padding, and built for daily use.
It started with one carrier we couldn't find.
In 2021, our co-founder spent three months looking for a cat carrier she actually wanted to be seen with — one her cat would also voluntarily walk into. Every option was either gym-bag ugly, plastic-cage clinical, or a $400 designer bag with no ventilation. So she sketched her own.
That first carrier became the seed of Pet Pouchy: a boutique studio that treats pet products the way we treat the rest of our home — chosen carefully, made to last, beautiful enough to leave on the chair.
Five years later, our line is still small enough that we know each SKU by name. We'd rather make ten things we love than a hundred things we tolerate. Read the practical version on our FAQ, or jump straight to the collection.
Three rules we won't bend.
Every product decision — fabric, foam, zipper, color — gets weighed against these three. If a piece fails any one, it doesn't ship. It's a slow way to grow a brand, and we're fine with that.
1. Safe for the Pet
OEKO-TEX certified fabrics, non-toxic dyes, BSCI-tested zippers and hardware. Every material is listed on the product page so you know exactly what touches your pet's fur. Read material specs →
2. Beautiful for the Home
A short palette of warm neutrals — espresso, cream, blush, sand — chosen so our pieces blend into the rooms you actually live in. No neon, no novelty prints, no logo-on-everything.
3. Honest About How It's Made
We publish weight ratings, fabric origins, factory standards, and care instructions on every page. If we don't know something, we say so. Ask us anything — we usually reply within 24 hours.
How a Pet Pouchy product gets made.
No black box. Here is the actual path from sketch to your doorstep — and what we test at every stage.
Sketch & Sample
Every piece starts on paper in our LA studio, then goes to a small sample maker. We sit with the prototype for at least two weeks of real life before we approve a sample.
Pet-Test in Home
Our own cats and dogs (and a rotating circle of customer testers) live with each prototype. If a zipper catches fur, padding flattens, or a strap slips — back to the drawing board.
Small-Batch Production
We work with two BSCI-audited workshops that we've vetted for fair wage standards. Runs are deliberately small (200–800 units) so quality stays consistent.
QC + Hand-Pack
Every order is QC-checked and packed by hand at our boutique studio, in recyclable boxes with no plastic poly-bags. We hand-finish each piece before it leaves the studio. Shipping details →
A small brand, with a few numbers we're proud of.
5% of every order helps a pet find a home.
Since 2022 we've donated a percentage of every order to small, regional rescues across the United States — places that don't have national fundraising teams but do have foster networks and vet bills. We rotate partners quarterly so the impact spreads.
To date we've contributed to spay/neuter clinics, transport programs, and emergency medical funds at partner shelters across the US.

About Pet Pouchy — quick FAQs
Where is Pet Pouchy based?
Pet Pouchy is an independent boutique studio. To keep things tidy for our small team we don't publish a physical street address — for any business or press enquiry email [email protected]. Customer support replies within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. Contact us →
Where are your products made?
A mix of small, BSCI-audited workshops we have hand-picked for fair-wage standards and finishing quality. Country of origin is listed on every product page.
Are Pet Pouchy products tested on animals?
Never in a lab setting. Our prototypes are "tested" by our own pets and a network of customer testers in real homes — we want to see how a piece behaves on the couch, not in a lab.
How can I get in touch with the team?
Email, contact form, or WhatsApp — whichever's easiest. Visit our contact page for all options. For order-specific questions, log in to your account first so we can pull up your order instantly.
Do you wholesale or partner with boutiques?
We work with a small handful of independent pet boutiques across the US. If you run one and would like to stock Pet Pouchy, please drop us a note with your shop's name, location, and Instagram.
A small studio, quietly noticed.
We don't run paid placements, but a handful of editors, vets, and pet-parent communities have written kindly about Pet Pouchy over the years. Here are a few highlights — and the customer quotes that mean even more to us.
"A pet brand that finally looks like furniture."
— Featured in an independent design publication, 2024. Cited for our restrained palette and "studio-grade" finishing on small-batch carriers and round beds.
"Materials list reads like a high-end outdoor brand."
— A Bay-Area veterinary technician's blog, 2024. Praised our published OEKO-TEX and CertiPUR-US certifications and the absence of vague "pet-safe" claims.
"My cat walked in. That has never happened."
— Verified buyer review, repeated almost word-for-word in a popular pet-parent Instagram community thread about the Daybreak Carrier.

"Five years in, the goal hasn't changed."
I started Pet Pouchy in a one-bedroom apartment with one rule: build the carrier I actually wanted to be seen with. Five years and twelve thousand orders later, the rule has barely changed — only the workspace (we now have a small dedicated studio) and the team (three of us, plus a rotating circle of customer testers and their pets).
What I'm proudest of is what we've said no to. No fast-drop seasonal collections. No 40-product Cyber Week sales. No buying email lists. No "founder's story" written by an outside agency. The line stays small on purpose, the materials stay published on purpose, and the customer service stays in-house on purpose.
If you've bought from us before — thank you. If you're new here, welcome. Email me directly any time; I read every message that comes in before 4 p.m. PST.
